Next multimedia design competition deadline June 30!

The Best of Multimedia Design Competition (AKA SND.ies) invites news organizations to submit multimedia journalism projects published since April 1, 2008.

The competition now accepts entries quarterly. You have until June 30 to enter this quarter's projects for an annual 2007-2008 award. So don't be late with your entry!

The New York Times wins top prize at Malofiej 16

Malofiej 16 was held recently at the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. The hands-on infographics idea workshops, the world summit and the international competition culminated in three days of shared thoughts on graphics at the global gathering. College designers of the year
named in Missouri

The College News Design Contest, co-sponsored by SND, is hosted each spring at the Missouri School of Journalism. Judges reviewed 650 entries from daily and non-daily college papers. Kate LaRue and Rob Byrd were named college designers of the year on April 15.
