Led by a New York Times photo entry that earned Best in Show recognition, judges gave out more than 1,100 awards in the 38th edition of the SND Best of News Design creative competition.
After three days of competition, SND38 Best of News Design judges awarded Best in Show to the New York Times for their entry in category 15A, single-day photo series, multiple photos.
Entries are evaluated on writing, visual storytelling, use of resources, execution, photography, headlines and “voice” – as well as overall design.
