The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is seeking applicants for a page designer/editor for its universal copy desk.
The applicant should have design skills to create section fronts and inside pages that are elegant, active and interesting. The ability to work on deadline is a key.
Also, the designer must be able to recognize and advocate for excellent photography, generate ideas for alternate story forms and collaborate with writers and editors in the planning and presentation process. The applicant is a person with good visual skills who can bring life to our news pages and digital formats. Strong language skills and the ability to write vibrant headlines are preferred.
