Jonathon Berlin is graphics editor at the Chicago Tribune. He is an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University and Columbia College where he’s taught infographics, data visualization and human-centered design. Jonathon was president of the Society for News Design in 2012. His work has been honored by SND, AIGA and Print. Before coming to Chicago in 2007, he worked at the San Jose Mercury News, the Rocky Mountain News and The Times of Northwest Indiana. He was a Page One designer during The Rocky’s Pulitzer Prize winning work covering wildfires in 2003. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois’ journalism school.
