What is better than attending the SND Charlotte workshop? Attending the workshop for free, of course.

Thanks to a generous donation from our friends at The Washington Post, the Society will be handing out five free student registrations via a lottery on March 15, in addition to the ten student travel grants already awarded.

Students can apply for the free registration by registering for the workshop before March 15 at the student rate of $270. (Students already registered are qualified; no additional action required). Each registration entitles a student to one chance to win. SND Charlotte chair Jon Wile will pull five lottery tickets at random, and those lucky winners will have their registration money refunded.

When students sign up for the workshop, they can attend the entire workshop, as well as the pre-workshop Student Day on Wednesday, April 19, at American City Business Journals. This day will start at 11 a.m. and include:

  • • Three speaker sessions
  • • Portfolio critiques
  • • Free lunch

Again, we want to thank Joey Marburger and The Washington Post for sponsoring these extra student registrations.
