The New York Times
Rumsey is an Art Director at The New York Times.
Renate is a visual journalist and motion graphic designer at the Norwegian Public Broadcaster, NRK. She has worked on a variety of productions for both TV and online during her 14 years at Norway’s largest news and sports broadcaster. Lately, she has worked primarily on visual storytelling and art direction for web stories and social media.
Ragnar Rognstad is a front-end developer on the digital storytelling team at NRK – Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. In his three years at NRK, he has worked on award-winning immersive stories and interactives, along with more traditional web applications.
Gilberto Scofield Jr.
GILBERTO SCOFIELD JR. is a communications and marketing executive and an author. Today, he is Business and Strategy Director at Lupa Agency, a digital startup that is now the biggest fact-checking newswire in Brazil. He was head of the Communications and Marketing at ANCINE – Brazilian National Cinema Agency, director of Máquina Cohn & Wolfe PR Agency, senior communications consultant at the Presidency of the Republic and editor of the newspaper and website of O Globo.
The Strait Times
Rebecca is currently working as the interactive graphics correspondent with The Straits Times’ digital graphics team. She has worked in this role for more than five years, steadily building and improving on the visual content produced by ST. Journalist by training and an avid data storytelling enthusiast, she has traversed multiple technologies from coding to AR and VR.
About This Series:
The concept: A moderated 60-90 minute conversation with various guests on specific design and industry topics. We will explore interesting projects from around the world, talk with makers and visual leaders, and allow time for questions and less formal networking among registrants.
When: The third Wednesday of every month at 12pm ET starting May 19.
The Creative Conference Calls series is free to all current SND members, as well as students and educators. Not an SND member but want to attend? Don’t worry, each session will be available to attend for a small registration fee of $10.
