ÑH2018: Results of the competition

O Globo (of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) has earned the first-ever Best of Show award in SND’s annual ÑH competition, which covers Spain, Portugal and Latin America. O Globo’s 14-minute video presentation, “The War for Brazil” earned the honor for its powerful look at how the number of murders in Brazil exceeds that of wars, terrorist attacks and conflicts in other countries of the world.

The annual ÑH2018 awards are organized by the Spanish chapter of the Society for News Design (SND-E) and SND South America. The ÑH2018 competition covers Spain, Portugal and Latin America. More complete details are on the official ÑH site.

That’s a sad news for Brazil. There were 56000+ murders in Brazil in year 2017 according to my research. That’s really high, but I think it dropped on the following years.
