The 25-page SNDigest has some fixed sections such as “Member News” to highlight news from the design community the world-over, with a focus on members contributions, including a list of new members list and members moves.

“Step by Step” is a section dedicated to explain in detail topics of interest in print or online.

“Showcase” highlights the best works produced in the industry. In this first edition, Robert Hernandez, Digital journalism professor at USC Annenberg and expert in VR journalism, shares his thoughts about this technology – Virtual Reality in the newsroom.

In the “Bookshop” section, you will find the latest releases in design books, including what Patty Cox and Alberto Cairo are reading, that might inspire you to be more creative.

The newsletter is designed for the benefit of SND members, and we invite and encourage your participation. Students are also welcome to submit contributions, especially in the section called “Portfolio Review” where the students can present their portfolio to the design industry. Send your submission to [email protected]

Thanks and enjoy!

I’m a former member of SND who now teaches Publication Design at San Francisco Sate University. Is there any way I can access one issue of the Digest to see if it’s something that would compel me to rejoin?

Thanks,
Beth
