‘Treatment Tracker’ wins silver medal for ProPublica

ProPublica has won a silver medal in the Information Graphics, Planned Coverage category for its piece “Treatment Tracker.”

Judges remarks:

  • It’s amazingly layered. It goes deep with the information. It’s incredible how much they’ve packed in, made it legible, made it easy to find.
  • It’s one of the best, “let’s publish a big, hairy database” thing that I have ever seen.
  • It’s so rich. This was a huge data dump. It’s amazing to be able to drill down to a doctor, with two clicks.
