Welcome to Minneapolis. You’re here at the best time of year in the Twin Cities – leave your shovels at home! – for one of SND’s marquee training events of 2013: The Minneapolis iPad and Tablet Design Quick Course, brought to you by the society and the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation. The training event takes place Friday and Saturday, hosted by the Star Tribune and the University of Minnesota’s Minnesota Journalism Center.
Over two days — July 12-13 — we’ll get you online, build your understanding of code, backfill the gaps and teach you to search for the answers when you are on your own. And have some fun along the way.
Team leaders: Chris Courtney and Yuri Victor. Chris is a developer for the Chicago Tribune’s News Application team, and Yuri designs news applications for washingtonpost.com. He has previously worked in digital content and design for the San Diego Union Tribune, Gannett Co., The Indianapolis Star and the Times of Munster, Ind.
