It’s time for student designers to gather up their best work — contest dates for the 2013 College News Design Contest are now set!
Each year, the student Society for News Design chapter at the Missouri School of Journalism hosts the annual competition, which features several hundred entries from student designers across the globe. This year, we’re accepting print and digital designs in a range of categories.
The deadline for entries is Friday, April 5. Go here to enter.
All students enrolled at a two-year or four-year college are welcome to submit any work that was published between March 16, 2012 and March 15, 2013.
Designers who are no longer students, but who were enrolled when work was published, are also eligible. Each participant’s first entry is free and students who are named Print Designer of the Year and Multimedia/Digital Designer of the Year will each receive $750 toward a trip to the 2013 annual SND convention in Louisville, Kentucky. SND also co-sponsors the contest.
Visit our official website, ssnd.missouri.edu, for more information, and look here for more contest updates in the coming weeks.
