Judges have awarded a silver medal to the Indianapolis Star for its entry, “49 miles, 49 minutes” in the planned coverage, under 50,000,000 page views/month category.
Here’s what the judges had to say:
“There was tons of coverage of the story, but this is the only (piece) I had an emotional connection with.”
“The design added a level of humanity without over-sensationalizing it. The photos and videos added pacing, making it very well organized. It is a personal story and yet it’s an everybody story.”
