Introducing your 2013 SND officers

The election results are in, and we are pleased to announce the officers for 2013:

Rob Schneider, The Dallas Morning News (@schneidersnd)

David Kordalski, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer (@kord)

Lee Steele, Design Editor, Hearst Connecticut Newspapers (@leesteele)

Steele won the only contested race. Of 179 votes cast in that race, he received 75 votes — 41.9% of the vote. Luis Chumpitaz Gonzales received 64 votes (35.8%) and Adonis Durado received 40 votes (22.3%.)

“Lee has done a fantastic job in his work for SND as training director and east coast region director. He’s got great passion for the Society’s work and will be a great officer,” said outgoing SND President Jonathon Berlin. “Adonis and Luis are also titans in our world. What a panel of candidates!

“I think it says a lot about our visual journalism community to have such great folks interested in steering SND forward.”
