SND Karaoke: Storified

They came, they drank, they sang, they raised money to help students. It wasn’t pretty, but it was a lot of fun.

The Sitrus bar at the Syracuse Sheraton was packed with weary judges and facilitators who somehow found the energy to rock the house.

The SND Foundation raised more than $1,400 and received pledges for another $1,400. If you pledged money last night, don’t worry — we’ll find you.

Here are some of the songs that folks were challenged to sing:

  • David Kordalski, “Short People”
  • Jonathon Berlin, “Like a Virgin”
  • Tracy Collins, “I Want a New Drug”
  • Michael Hogue and Richard Johnson, “America”
  • Steve Cavendish, “I Will Survive”
  • Andrea Zagata and Josh Crutchmer, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”
  • Jonathon Berlin and Rob Schneider, “It Was a Very Good Year”
  • Michael Tribble, David Kordalski and Emmet Smith, “Cleveland Rocks”
  • Steve Cavendish and Dave Elsesser, “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”
  • Becky Pendergast, “Build Me Up Buttercup”
