SND STL is excited to announce its latest confirmed speaker, Teresa Schmedding, who will offer practical tips for managing modern news content. Schmedding will be joining us as part of a speaker exchange partnership between the American Copy Editor Society and SND.
Also as part of the partnership, ACES members are also welcome to a $100 discount to SND STL. More about the session:
How to maintain quality and ethical standards while juggling multiple deadlines and content demands for print, mobile, web and tablet. This session will focus on what errors readers notice most — and that you should focus on the most — and will include a discussion on online ethics vs. print.
Schmedding, president of the American Copy Editors Society, is an assistant managing editor at the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago, where she oversees multiplatform publishing and design. She has a bachelors in journalism and a masters in media management from University of Missouri-Columbia.
She joins a speaker lineup that features, among others, Dave Gray, Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson, Laura Stanton, Karl Gude, Miranda Mulligan, Mat Marquis and more. More speaker announcements will be coming soon.
Already more than 125 people are registered for the workshop, slated for Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in St. Louis.
