New nameplate in Santa Rosa
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat unveiled a new nameplate with Tuesday editions, which the paper explained recalls an earlier manifestation of the front page branding. The paper has been through many a change in its identity (including that famous yellow version by Edmund Arnold) through the years, with the most-recent iteration before this using a stacking effect. That makes us here at The Blog wonder: Are papers changing nameplate architecture to handle the advent of front page ads? Discuss.
