Woo hoo ... It's World Graphics Day!

Poster by Mehdi Mohammadi
The Blog loves April 27 and you all know why (or maybe you don't): Today is World Graphics Day, the 44th celebration of the event that marks the birth of Icograda (the International Council of Graphic Design Associations) in 1963.
Who celebrates this day? Well, all of us, of course, in the field of professional design, whether that's editorial, commercial, artistic, um, you get the idea. We're one powerful profession, people.
The Blog likes to think this day is a way to reflect on how design shapes our world every day, informs our views, creates experiences, and makes meanings that span the globe ... So get out there and celebrate tonight. You earned it!

That's a pretty cool poster, though it would reflect better on designers were it punctuated correctly. Maybe I'll cut the artist some slack if English isn't his first language...Happy World Graphics Day everyone!
Ha! I felt the same way about the punctuation myself, Nicole ... then I thought about all the times I have tortured another language;) Happy World Graphics Day! Pass it on!
