It's the shoes

A group of former students of the Design Academy Eindhoven has organized a design competition where the winner will see his or her concept become a reality. The theme is sport footwear, with all designs being judged by an international panel (on behalf of Asics, the sponsor, and including Alessandro Mendini, Jan Jensen and Fabio Novembre). The judges will scope out the submissions with an eye toward product design and marketing. So if you've ever fancied yourself a footwear designer, well, here's your chance to see if the shoe fits!
