Ghostly flight data

Media artist/designer Aaron Koblin created a surreal visualization of FAA flight data in 2005. Recently its been featured on a few other blogs and shown at SIGGRAPH. In addition to its beauty, it reveals some fascinating travel patterns across the states. The video is worth looking at again, and again.
