Career Advice
Journalists interested in design, photography, illustration, information graphics, Web sites and many other aspects of visual journalism have ascended to the highest rungs of the profession. Some are internationally renowned designers who command top dollar. Others serve as publishers and other execuitve news managers.
Among other skills, getting ahead in news design requires talent, creativity, hard work, collegiality, the ability to communicate your vision to others--and the ability to listen and respond to feedback.
