NEWS: Plotting Katrina's effect on media

Freshly minted Poynter Institute faculty member Jeremy Gilbert has an interesting centerpiece today over at poynter.org on the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Poynter has created an interactive map to show how the news organizations in the path of the storm are doing a year later. Good work pulling that together, Jeremy.

On Saturday night here in Orlando, the Times-Picayune in New Orleans and the Sun Herald from Biloxi, Miss., will be honored with a special award from the unanimous 27th Edition judging panel for the courageous work they did covering the hurricane.
