The miracle of the Internet

So the reason I'm posting these two pictures is twofold.

One, that terrible picture of me is an old one. Taken about a month ago. A keeper obviously. The reason I posted that picture is because I've misplaced my camera and can't take new pictures at the moment. Somewhere between the Poker night and the late-night fun in the lobby bar and Champions sports bar, my silver, Nikon Coolpix camera in a little black canvas case is gone. If I can't find my camera, how can I add more pictures of Eli to my other blog? And Eli and Mari would not appreciate that.

The other picture I posted is what the camera looks like.

Reason two.The two pictures represent the miracle of the Internet. With the Internet and at this workshop, you get all these big ideas going around. Google, YouTube, data, metadata, metametadata, logarhythms, databases, the sites those Epic guys talked about. But the real miracle is that all these machines, these programs this data and metadata help facilitate and explain very minute, very human interactions. Like the Ebay slander lawsuit written about in the Mercury News. What was at the core of that suit: A guy selling $4 gem stones. Brilliant.

This minute human interaction is a dumb designer who lost his camera. Anyone seen it?
