NEWS: LOCKDOWN! Registration & meal tickets will be checked this year, Web Desk has learned

Sources say that SND, long known for -- ahem -- somewhat casual enforcement of registration tags, and checking event and meal tickets, will be on the lookout this year. Make no mistake, The Society has printed and distributed the tickets at conferences for many years, just never made much of an effort to collect them or audit the doors. This year, lunch tickets will be required to enter the business luncheon on Friday and dinner tickets will be checked at the final banquet and awards show on Saturday. So, buy 'em while you can.

PROGRAM NOTE: As always, if you have lunch and banquet tickets but are not attending for whatever reason (c'mon, don't be like that) -- be sure to donate them to a student. There's usually a got-one-need-one style basket at the registration desk. Better yet, seek out a student, review a portfolio, make a new networking connection and deliver your unneeded tickets in person.
