Did we witness the first shreds of Ernesto showing their face in Orlando already? Lightening chased a few dozen hotel guests out of the gorgeous pool just after 4pm today. Is this a sign of things to come or just the daily south Florida thunderstorm? For some it came at the only hour of available pool time all weekend (before all the meetings and duties kick in). Suddenly session schedules need to be re-evaluated -- not that anyone here would actually skip a session to enjoy the pool, or venture into The Park. Nah. Just sayin'
Ah well, more time to fine tune those blackjack and poker skills before the big Casino Night.

Ernesto be damned, the Syracuse U reps will be making a pilgramage to the pool. It was about 55 degrees and rainy for our first day of classes. We need to soak up the sun now, since central new york is apparently skipping fall this year and moving directly on to winter.

Go 'Cuse! Orange is in the house. I'm with you guys. We'll muster at the poolside bar and remember those frozen hikes to M Street midwinter. It'll feel like a balmy vacation in comparison.
