BUZZ: Rental cars, gas prices and Tim Harrower

The SND International Web Desk spotted international visual journalism guru, author and all-around good guy Tim Harrower in the hotel lobby yesterday. No Cosby variations this time because our famous "Handbook" hero has just completed a book on (gasp!) reporting ... More on that after we pin him down for an exclusive interview. (And the Design editor also claims to have "something in the works" on the new tome.)

Still, the notoriously cheap Harrower, headed to the local convenience store, gave us three things of mild-to-considerable interest to report:

1) No cars were available at the airport rental counters. Seems the Red Cross reserves them during emergency situations. Plenty of mini-vans and SUVs are, inexplicably, in supply.

2) On Wednesday, the average price for a gallon of gas in Orlando is $2.84.

3) Saturday night's final gala will involve Harrower himself as the emcee for a challenge of wit and will as The Intern finalists are narrowed to the final three.

Now if we could just get him to stand still long enough to ask him more about his new book ...
