Student Chapters – Basics
From its beginning, SND has made education a top priority. The Society accepts students and educators as voting members, and encourages them to form affiliate groups at their colleges and university.
Students who belong to SND affiliates and their advisers receive discounts on membership dues. Student affiliates can organize competitions, workshops and other local design events; participate in SND Quick Courses tailored to their needs; apply to work as facilitators at the annual Best of Newspaper Design™ Creative Competition; and apply for travel grants to help them attend the Annual Workshop & Exhibition.
