If you are interested in using design and technology to solve problems and create engaging experiences, our interdisciplinary masters program in Emerging Media Design + Development could be the right degree for you. Run by SND Executive Committee member Jennifer Palilonis, EMDD is launching a new low-residency program in Fall 2017 that is perfect for mid-career professionals hoping to expand their skills and credentials. If you would like to learn more, register for our informational webinar on Wednesday, May 31 from noon to 1 pm (Eastern). You will be able to share any questions with faculty and students, and you will be eligible for a 50% application fee waiver.
You can also explore our Center’s microsite at centerforemdd.com.
Our program brings together students from both creative backgrounds (English, journalism, theater, graphic design, photography, TV/film) and technology backgrounds (programmers, Web designers, animators) to tell stories on screens, books, kiosks, stages, and even with live events.
What makes our program distinct is that it is a hands-on, practical experience built around research and application. Our students do more than just sit in a classroom. They are working with real community partners (including the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Circle of Blue, and Professor Garfield) to create immersive, interactive story experiences that solve real-world problems. When they graduate, they will know how to create stories for the 21st Century marketplace.
