For PRESIDENT

Bill Gaspard
Los Angeles Times

Bill Gaspard is the News Design Director at the Los Angeles Times. In the fall of 1997, he was site chair for the Society’s Annual Workshop and Exhibition held in San Diego. The following year he was a judge for the annual Best of Newspaper Design™ competition. He is currently SND’s Vice President. The First and Second V.P. positions eliminated and combined into one position for 2004 and beyond.

Christine McNeal
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Christine McNeal, currently SND Treasurer, is Deputy Managing Editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She is well-known for her SND Quick Course talks. An SND member since the 1980s, she was the judging coordinator for the 25th Edition in 2004. She also has worked on the education and Quick Course committees and is a multiple SND-award winner.

Scott Goldman
The Indianapolis Star

Scott Goldman is AME/Visuals at The Indianapolis Star, overseeing the design, photo and graphics departments. He joined the Star in May, after spending five years in charge of sports design at The Washington Post. He is currently Secretary of SND, and has been a member of the SND Competition Committee for more than 10 years. He has been a judging assistant for the annual competition since 1988, was the judging coordinator for the 18th Edition in 1997, and was a judge for the 22nd Edition in 2001. He has won more than 25 SND awards, including a Gold Medal. He also organized the 2003 SND workshop in Washington, DC.
