SND/Scandinavia sponsors an annual Nordic "Best of Newspaper Pages" competition with more than a dozen categories. The competition is open to newspapers in Scandinavia.

The competition covers each calendar year, with entry deadlines the following January. Winners, who receive Awards of Excellence and Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals, are announced in the spring at the annual SND/S conference.

Beginning in 2005, SND/S also coordinates a European Front Page Competition, open to newspapers in Europe.

Winners of both competitions are published in an annual book, "Arets Avisside I Norden."
