Mizzou’s RJI set to share iPad news survey findings Friday

Roger Fidler reports that more than 1,600 iPad users responded to the Reynolds Journalism Institute / Digital Publishing Alliance’s 2010 iPad News Survey. 2011 SND officers: ballot announced

SND asked you who you wanted to see join its leadership team. You have spoken: the candidates for Secretary/Treasurer are Rob Schneider of The Dallas Morning News and Colin Smith of The Salt Lake Tribune.
Joining them on the ballot are, for President, Steve Dorsey of the Detroit Media Partnership; and for Vice President, Jonathon Berlin of the Chicago Tribune. They are both running unopposed.
Members will receive voting instructions soon via email through our elections coordinator. The ballot will be open through Dec. 15. Candidate bios can be found inside.

The competition deadlines are only a few weeks away – time to pull those pages and get those forms attached and pages taped and folded and envelopes labeled. The Call for Entries for the 32nd Annual Creative Competition is posted and available for download here in editable pdf format.
Entry forms are available in Spanish as well.
The deadline to enter is Jan. 12, 2011, in the U.S., and Jan. 19 for international entries.
And keep an eye on this space for information on the cover contest – your design could be chosen to adorn the 32nd annual Best of News Design annual.
