good morning from a very cold and snowy Åhus, Sweden (the home of absolut)..since its launch/birth i've given feedback - constructive criticism about K2 which is result of a marriage between TIVOLI & Boulevard (two supplements to the kristianstadsbladet our local newspaper) and cited what i perceived to be a need to tighten the graphics (particularly the coverpage) the inside pages - graphically speaking - were at the beginning OK but still needed work WHILE the cover, in my opinion, had too many visual distractions and actually weakend the its logo and brand (tivoli had a very strong brand presence while K2 was a new bord brand) - i'm not a swede but an american who has been living and working in sweden for 17 years after an international career - public & private sectors...anyway they K2 have received your excellence award which is i'm sure appreciated by the staffers....interesting that the best - two german newspapers and the flagship of american newspapers took home the top awards - i lived and worked in germany for a total of 13 years (not consecutive) before moving permanently to sweden and those two german newspapers were daily reads for yours truly

I agree with the comment of Michael Gomez on the crisis in America is affecting the daily. In the particular case of Mexico, my country, the templates of designers and editors are very small and in some cases the departments of computer graphics, illustration and photography do not exist or are formed by one or two people. This situation is too complicated work processes, it is very difficult to plan coverage or do special jobs because people always departments with heavy workloads and little time to do so. The reporters have to cover multiple sources at once, 5 in some cases, which is reflected in the poor generation of content.
